Election 2006
December meeting could be longer, but very important, it's election time. So bring your coffee with you.
We are voting for
2006 Officers. We nominated first, I understand that President and Vice-Prisident
is up for nomination. If we all agree that the present
Secretary and Treasure are doing a fine job and
they are OK on running another year then we can vote to keep them. After the nomination are in, then
"by
secret ballot with a majority vote of all member present at the time of this election necessary for
election." (Per the ByLaws)
After that  David has set up a ride so we can meet at our Christmas dinner place in
Corona to arrive
around
2:00. So be sure to bring what you need for the Christmas party or have some one meet you at
the restrurant. If it rains we still have our meeting at Chaparral Motorsports at 8:00PM.
This is the last month of 2005; it’s hard to believe that a year has gone by. The last month and first
month of each year at Chaparral Riders is happy and sad. First the happy part, the Christmas Dinner and
gift exchange, being with some old friends and new friends. If you haven’t attended before, there will
be Christmas
music and the whole year’s worth of all the photos that were taken. We do a gift
exchange where you can pick a new gift or
STEAL someone else. We will have word games going on,
and there will be door prizes at the end.
NO Club member will go home without something in their hand.
The motorcycle clubs membership fee and the
50/50 pays for the door prizes and part of the Christmas
meal.  You still have sometime to get that
$3.00 saving as long as you get it in the mail by November
27th  (this will be the dead line date) and contact me that you put it in the mail. Cost will be
$12.00 for
Club Members and
$15.00 for Non- members. Mail it to Chaparral Riders C/O Pete Aker, P.O. Box 34,
Moreno Valley, CA 92556, make check out to Chaparral Riders.
Now for the sad news, your club membership expires. That’s not really too sad because
2006 you
can join again and get a new one. I hope to see all the
2005 members in 2006 and with everyone’s
help it will be better then ever.
The Christmas dinner is at the
Hacienda Del Rey, address is 1353 W. 6th St. Corona Ca. phone 951-
737-9440 Coming from Riverside on the 91 exit Lincoln, turn right on Lincoln go over the bridge, right on
6th street, go about ¾ of a mile will just pass Sherman Ave. on the right. Dinner starts at
2:00PM.
It was suggested at the last meeting to raise the club dues to $15.00. We will need to vote on this at the
December's meeting. This will help to pruchase promotional items for the club members   Remember
when you are filling out you new membership form to include your Chaparral discount # and you e-mail.
The e-mail keeps the cost down from sending newslettes out in the mail.
