Loma Linda Funds
The Loma Linda University Children Hospital Toy Run is on December 19th. The run starts at Quaid
Harley-Davidson located at 25160 Redlands in Loma Linda. Sign in opens at 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
The run will be leaving Quaid at 1:30 p.m. to travel in a parade to the Hospital. Last year we all met at
Chaparral in the morning and went to breakfast, then rode together over to Quaids. It will be decided at
this December 5ths meeting where to meet for breakfast.
Fun Center
For those that were not present at the November 7th meeting it was decided to take $1000.00 from the
club money and turn it over into next years 2005 Loma Linda Fund. The fund was $1500.00 dollars
short in getting a Starlight Fun Center for the ICU ward. It was a unanimous vote. There was also
another reason to post pone in the purchase of the Fun Center. Rod and Shirley may be able to get a
similar unit from a friend, but at a lower price. Unfortunately the friend has been very busy with the
Christmas orders and they were not able to work it out. We are hoping Rod’s friend can get it
cheaper then $3250.00. We are hoping with the discount, we will be able to purchase two of them for
the 2005 Loma Linda Run.
We collected $200.00 at the November meeting. The Loma Linda funds Total $2,687.65 Dan Hoeft and
Jim W. won 10 tickets. John Tolle will be selling tickets in the parking lot, before the meeting
starts. This is just a reminder, all that we collect goes to the children at the Hospital, except what we
have set aside $100.00 Chaparral gift card, which is given out at the Christmas dinner. If you would

Annual Christmas Dinner
December ends another great year with the Chaparral Riders, and to end it we have a Christmas party for
all members and their guest to enjoy. This year will be better then last, our club has doubled in members.
This is also when we draw the winning ticket for the $100 Chaparral gift certificate from all the years worth
of tickets sells for the Loma Linda fund. Vasco and John have been doing a fantastic job with it. It is
NOT too late to purchase your Dinner; Earlene still has until November 28th to turn in a total count. If
you would like to join in and you are a club member, call Earlene ASAP, her phone number is 951-685-
7754. If you would like to participate in the gift exchange you must bring a wrapped gift. Guy brings Guy
gift and Gal bring Gal gift. $15.00 gift The dinner is at Jurupa Hill Country Club. Start's at 2:00 PM The
