October is just around the corner and Chaparral Riders annually Poker Run is coming up. If you don't
normal ride with the club every month you surely don't want to miss out on this event. I hoping it will be the
best one ever where you will be talk about for months to come. We are doing things different this year so
all club members can ride it.

Bring Club Members up to speed
Since the last meeting (July) there has been some breaking news with Loma Linda and some of the Club
Members. Mostly at the monthly club meeting it is the Same –O, Same -O, but at times there is very
important news that is happening with the club, but it is hard to hear them all at the meeting. I will start
with Loma Linda first, the club had purchased two Fun Center in the pass, and we had heard that they
both were broken. We heard this from an inside man (a spy lets say), we will call him 007 (Rick Long) at
the Hospital. One day 007 saw both of Chaparral Riders units in hallway broken. He inquired why
haven't these units been fixed? After some investigating and talking to different people and we all know
about any big corporation there are politics involved, it is being resolved as we speak. We now have the
money that the club earned last year to purchase another one. But do you think we should!!!! Also
another thing about Loma Linda that 007 ask about, he hadn’t seen the computer around that David
McDaniel, Dan and Penny Leach work so hard to earn last year for the kids. After a few more inquires
the computer has now been installed for the Kids to use. It is amazing how thinks get done when we have
someone on the inside, Thanks 007.
Now for the next item: We have one of our new members for 2007 that has stepped up to the plate to
over see things with the Monster Block Party that Chaparral Motorsports put on each year. I sure hope
all of us will support this member and her name is, are you ready, are you sure you are ready for her
name and her name is The monster block party is in October and she will need
some volunteers. October is not that far away!!! If you can not help with the booth, she will need help
with bake goods, and of course some of that green stuff to help purchase bake goods. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. More information will follow in the newsletter or by E-mail. So those of you that donâ
€™t check your E-Mail very often, you better start checking it every day.
So with the most recent events above, I thought it is about time to bring out the Golden Bear. I’m
putting out an APB alert, if any one has seen the Golden Bear please report to your nearest Chaparral
Officer. I hope the Golden Bear doesn’t turn into a Cold Case one day. That’s all I have to say
for now. If we have any Reporters out there with breaking news please E-mail me with the story.
