This web site was voted on to get information out to all the club members at a moments notice and to
keep the cost from mailing down.  It's also lets those club members that can’t make the meetings
informed of what is going on at the meeting. So let’s make the internet work for all of us, like when
some cool events or rides are coming up. And Yes I have received some events thru E-mails,
but very few. If you do send me a cool event that you are going to, the E-Mail must have a contact
person (like you) with dates, and a place with a time of departure. If there is a website available send that
link with your E-Mail. After the event or ride is over, write up a short story and if you have some photos,
send them as well. I will put your story in the next month Newsletter and will post the photos on the web
site. We have 90 plus members and only 12 don’t have internet access (they get a Newsletter
mailed), that leaves about 85% having E-mails, that way  the word can get  out immediately.  All the e-
mails that are in Chaparral Riders address book must be good ones, because I have not received any
back as “undeliverable. To make a long story short, this web site is for everyone, so check the
web site often and check your E-mail too. When I do change things on the web site, the date on the
upper right where it says “Updated Lastâ€ will have a current date.. I will point to the update with a â
€œNewâ€ or “updateâ€ symbol.

Hot Saturday Night BBQ
Come on over to Pete and Linda Aker’s for a Hamburger/ Hot Dogs on Saturday August 19th at 5:
00 pm.  While you are here, Pete can check the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) on your CB radio.  He has
no problem doing the 1500’s and 1800’s Goldwing, but will need help on the Harley's and other
bikes to remove items so he can get to where the CB antenna hooks up to the radio. We will have Ice
Tea, Lemonade, water to drink, ( Earlene is bring the left over soda from the June BBQ) if you want other
non-alcohol drinks please feel free to bring them.

Please
RSVP by replying on E-mail or phone.... Get phone number and address  at "Members List"

If you need direction please E-Mail or Call. There is a side easement just before our house; you can pull in
there to the back yard where you can park. This is open to all Chaparral Rider Club Members and family
not just those who have CB's. So please stop by and get a Hamburger or Hotdog,
IT'S ON US.

correctly, then you'll be wrong also.   I look forward to a large turn out.  Ride safe and have fun.
